Linabel

This week’s WSC featured player is Dominican Republic native and a corgi lover, Linabel, who joined WSC in the summer of 2016 to play basketball and make some new friends. Her basketball career started in middle school, but the most important game she played was in her senior year of high school. Linabel took the charging foul right at the buzzer, leading the team to win by one point. ⁠

Playing basketball has taught Linabel the importance of teamwork l. Learning to work together with other individuals to achieve a common goal is a skill that she has used and will continue to is in other areas of her life forever. Another important thing Linabel mentioned is to keep engaging in sport and support women’s sports. There are plenty of women’s teams in different sports that are waiting to welcome new fans. ⁠

Her current playlist includes ‘Lovely’ by Billie Eilish, ‘Honey’ by Kehlani and ‘Calma’ by Pedro Capo and Farriko. ‘All American’ is Linabel’s tv show recommendation. ⁠
